Excellent question, I have been writing for nine years now. You can't find any of my novels anywhere, because none have been released yet.
What has evolved into the Stone of Sorrows series started off as a single novel. But, when I was only a third of the way through my original storyline and had 250,000 words already down on paper I realized this was more than a single novel. I recently changed positions in my 'day job' which has allowed me the freedom to spend more time on my writings. That is when I made the decision to create a series of books that were a more palatable size.
Which is why so many of them are so close to being ready for publication.

I'm not sure I would say my writings are unique, but the one aspect I think I am focusing on that perhaps some other writers don't focus on as much, is the realistic aspects of the story, setting, characters.
I have always treasured Fantasy stories that were truly believable. I want to avoid spoilers if possible, but the dwarves in my series are not incredibly different than other Fantasy novels, but as they say 'The devil is in the details'. I've tried very hard to build sub-text that provides solid explanations behind their long lives, their birth rates, their culture, even their biological differences to humans.
I've done a ton of research, from Medical professionals on the biological differences, to research from Antique Metallurgy/Weapons. I've also stolen some ideas from world history to help explain their scientific knowledge.
The end goal is that I hope my readers think of them as a completely different race than humans, not a sub-species. In my mind, they are as different to humans as the aliens you see in a Sci-Fi movie.
